What I hate is, that i seem to be the only one getting goose bumps on even an Airtel add.I was stuck to the television on the 15th, watching all, and i mean ALL, the special programs on India. I cry every time Lata ji or Sunidhi Chauhan sings Aey mere watan ke logon. My head goes up and my shoulders straighten themselves out when I hear of even the smallest addition to our honor roll. I love to see my uncles/cousins in their uniforms... it fills me with pride. I hear of stories of these brave men have to tell us, and I cry for their losses. I love and ardently watch Left Right Left for two reasons: the title song is awesome, out of the world, and I love the theme.
And all this foolishly makes me think I can one day, somehow, make a differnce. Shake up all these people who are suppose to be running the country, and show them where they are going wrong. That... well, you'd think I'd have learnt by now na?
Don't you dare be shaking your head and saying "She's nuts". Oh I might be nuts, but I'm glad I am. What worries me more than the fact that one day I am face disappointment, is that people give up without trying. I've been knocked down a million times. But thanks to these few people in my life, I'm up and ready to go all over again. Some people call it being stubborn, other's call it idiotic. Since I tread down the same path again and again, but hey... Until I get what I want, I'm not stopping. And neither should you.
Okay so, half the population is corrupt. So what? That doesn't mean you have to be one of them... They say.. it's so easy to be a part of the crowd, what takes effort is to be able to stand out. It's one of those few things that my ma's tried to drive into my head, and has succeded in. Am I glad!!
On a more serious note.. exams start timaro!!! *groan* I've reached a point in my life where my attention span is exactly 20 minutes. For a math text book, mind you.. don't go trashing my name!! Oh and about the previous post... I was just writing to share a laugh on the "funny" part of my trip to the doc, I wasn't looking for pity or anything. Thankus for all your wishes, I'm overwhelmed. Seriously. I'm okay with it... or at least am trying to be, for all the help I'm getting from people around me. And if any of you happen to be reading this, I understand where you stand!! Thankus.
Okie, me go. And though kinda belated, Happy Independence Day!!! Oh sure we have our faults... but we'll figure out our ways in the end. Proud to be an Indian.
Yours forever sthupitly.
i was guessing that you had a post on this hidden somewhere...nice to read it.
can't agree with you more when you say all that...but the point is that the corrupt people have also corrupted the offices that they hold..and hence people don't wanna hold those kind of offices...sad plight but i see some hope.
When you talk of coruption, try to stay as much away from the topic as possible. Corruptions has become something like a social status symbol and there are times when i feel the world wont go around w/o it. I dont approve it but it exists and as far as i beleive nothing can be done about it w/eva people say.
About National Feeling i agree totally with you.. If there is 1 thing i am proud of , it is to be and indian. There is no other place ill rather be than here. XD
Thats it for now i have college 2moro :( so ill be off now
*Waves*

Hi...
Thanx for the grand gala reply with style....I think you r a person with well-planned thoughts..great!!
Yeah, it's nice flying on your blog..
you are right, it's important to be against the crowd...
kisine sahi kahan, "if you wanna be 1 in 100 then do what 99 person avoid doing"..
All d best for ur exam, hope ur memory give so much loyality that you never need to copy:)
Roy
Hey...its been a while since I checked your blog, and just realised I had quite a bit to catch up on.
The whole problem with corruption is that its easier to get away with it, than to stand up to it. And unless things start changing at the grass-roots level, I don't see much hope.
Anyway, all the best for your exams!!
@nav: why oh why do people who visit this blog o' mine HIDE compliments so deep down that there is just enough possibilty of me finding them as that of me making it to tea with the queen on Sunday evening. Sigh. As for the offices... hey this ol' blood has got to die one day, and I'm just hoping the new blood has enough immunity to withstand this "corruption". Yay!! you see hope.
@Ry: There are somethings which worsen when dealt with an overdose of making a change syndrome. Things will only change if each one of us has enough confidence in ourselves to stand by what we believe.
there's no place i'd rather be either.
@Roy: well-planned thoughts?? Oh boy, aren't you in for a ride. And in case you haven't noticed all the people who visit this page and those who doesn't are shaking their heads in disbelief and hoping you won't fall too hard :)Thannk you for the wishes.
@ Saranya: I'm impressed. A bisit from you on your day. On behalf of everyone who visits and doesn't visit, here's wishing you a very very happy birthday. May God bless, much love.
Thankus for bisiting guys. The paper was great... Timaro's is going to be i-dunno-how, cuz i just got in from college, n have a splitting headache. And it's ETHICS!! thankus for your wishes, Lotsaluv,
Yours forever sthupitly.
*Stands at attention & sings along with the National Anthem*
Why do very few people sing the national anthem when it's normally being sung?? Everyone should sing it.. If it's a question of being embarrassed, I guess there exists no such thing as national pride..
Sigh.. Its deplorable...
I'm gonna head off now..
Cheers..
& Jai Hind!
No words? I'm pretty sure that post was full of them.

P.S. It's ad, not add. You can also stay in safe territory by saying commercial or advertisement.
@arvind: totally agree with you.
@Koze: i guess that's punishment for not calling you up :(
Thankus for bisiting guys.. lotsaluv,

Well, I always had a bit more pride than my peers because of my Da being a TA reserve. But now that I'm so far away, I appreciate India more. All the nuances of it. The other day, they played patriotic songs on B4U and I wanted to cry.
*Sniff* I miss India.
And good luck on the rest of ur exams.
And yes, I'm Proud to Be An Indian.
they always make me sniff. I'm sobbing by the end of aey mere wattan ke logon. I'm such a cream puff at times.
Exams for me are done for now. I wrote just two.. hhhehahhahahah
Thankus for bisiting,
YOurs forever sthupitly.
It has been four days since the country's 60th Independence day, but i'm still pre-occupied with lots many thoughts, most of which are towards the Landmark Quiz i attended that day.. It was awesome and i really enjoyed being there. The whole city, or atleast the whole hall was inspired with national feeling on that occasion.. Thanks to the `By the ways`(BTW) of Derek O Brien. He indeed is the best Quiz master.. but grown a little a bit old now.
I sometimes like incomplete messages ;)
As Homo Sapien (Sapien) as i can get.

And we're talking about me, the same me who has come close to failing in in only one subject and that's General Knowledge. I think it's the least i've ever scored... 47/100 or something.
Thankus for bisiting,
Yours forever sthupitly.
please.. do not talk about academics.. please.. do you still think they really rate what you are? Well, of course, you are a student. You must have got no choice. sob.. feel sorry for you! ;)

what specifically do you want to change about India? I don't know anything at all about India other than that awhile back there were a string of tiger attacks. I am not well traveled unless you count Internet searches that lead to overseas blogs.
I saw a lot of passion in this entry and I have to applaud that. What I didn't see was what you want to change about India. If there was one thing I could change about the United States it would be to wipe out the superiority complex. If given a second wish to fill I'd wipe out the ability to exploit the constitution for the purpose of hate or personal gain at the expense of the majority.

@neo: i didn't really get what you were trying to say. or were you? trying to say something, I mean... that'd be a first :)
@Austin: Glad to have you here. Like i said, Iif i had a choice, I think i'd wipe out the caste system, and make all the ol' men and women step down from polictics. that's all that that we need to get things back into perspective. Thankus for bisiting, hope to see you back here sometime..
thankus for bisiting guys, lotsaluv and hugs,
Yours forever sthupitly.
