"Emani Fair and Handsome"
ahem. ahem... And they say we females take ages to get dressed up and spend lifetimes in front of the mirror.
For, those of you lucky ones who don't know what this advertisement is about : The first scene shows a guy, kinda dark (the mud effect), entering into a girls Hostel to steal their "Fair and Lovely" creams, that apparently make your skin fair and lovely. He gets caught, and is advised by the "manly" guys, to use " Fair and Handsome"... On use of which, he turns fairer (they wash off the mud)... And he and the gals, who swarm him, live happily ever after.
Yuck.
I didn't know I'd ever live to see guys want to look fair, and go to the extent of applying cosmetics to achieve the desired effect.
I'm not sure if I totally disagree with the whole concept of beauty parlors for guys...A beauty parlor, contrary to common belief, is not a place where people who think they look bad come in to and leave looking like princesses. It is a place for "grooming". Which, male or female, I think can be done at home by the person itself. But the whole concept of guys worrying about an extra hair on his eyebrow, freaks me out to a lot of extent. In my defense, you male species are chauvinistic about a lot of stuff, this one's my call. :D
No, the reason for this post is not to advertise about this "cream"... I was just thinking how pathetic we've all become... We've stopped believing in the beauty that lies in a person's heart.. And measure up a person's beauty on the basis of his external facade. Which is what it is, a facade. Looks don't last... At least until we've perfected the anti-aging pills. It's what you do with your life, what you think and what you believe in, how you treat people... all the stuff that lies in that pulsating organ (the one that lies in your rib cage people!! Perverts, get lost..Or just do abhestho abhestho and carry on reading..)... That is the reason for your being ALIVE. You've seen the beauty parlor tricks fail with Kareena Kapoor.. the minute that mouth opens, all the "sexiness" (or whatever u guys think she possesses) disappears at twice the speed of light.
Grooming is a totally different aspect. How you carry yourself, says a lot about you. Things like cleanliness, neatness... play a major role. This constitutes grooming. Not, trying to make medusa look like Amisha Patel. Chi! What am I saying?? They already look alike... Let's see medusa look like Sushmita Sen, Shekhar Gupta grow a mane like Aishwarya Rai..You get my drift!
Anyway, back to the point. What was the point? Oh yeah!! For all you guys who are worried about not getting a girl because you have a slightly darker complexion, this one's for you. ( If I were you I'd worry about making my girl stick around once she found out I was using Fair and Handsome!!) This is from confirmed sources:
"Go buy your pack(s??) today. Limited Stock only"!!(and flush 'em)
:D
..Just remember "That which you are, and no one else is... is what makes you beautiful"...Until next time!!
